Zoe Saldana is the child of Asalia Saldana and Aridio Nazario. Zoe was born in Passaic (New Jersey) on June 19th, 1978. Her parents, Aridio and Asalia were both born in Puerto Rico. Her parents raised her in Queens, New York. After she turned 10 years old, young, she and her family relocated towards the Dominican Republic, where they lived for the next seven years. Zoe noticed a strong passion for dancing while being abroad. Her first training was at ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy to learn ballet, and a variety of other styles of dance. The lessons she learned were not just an excellent outlet for an energetic, enthusiastic child but it also proved to be the ideal preparation for her future acting career as a professional. Zoe's family relocated to United States when Zoe was seventeen years old. She was a dancer with a passion and her desire to perform on stage developed. Zoe not only has held her own but also earned respect from the likes of Steven Spielberg, Jerry Bruckheimer, Keira, Knightley, Ashton Kutcher and Orlando Bloom. A lot of the co-stars and producers believe that the sky is not her limit. She is a versatile spectrum of talent, intense concentration and an unwavering determination to take on projects with diverse subject matter and characters. Deutch and Silberman have previously collaborated in the Netflix hit, Set It Up (2018).
