Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian and TV personality best known as the host of The Talk, a popular talk show that airs on daytime TV. Sheryl Underwood, born in Arkansas was raised in Arkansas between Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl comes from a family that has had many issues. She spent most part of her youth taking care of Frankie. Frankie suffered from the disease polio. When she was a kid, her relationships with her mother were rocky. Sheryl states that her mother once stabbed at her father because he was too close. Sheryl was a soldier after she graduated from college. However, her interests lay in the field of comedy. In 1989 she was the first woman to reach the finals of the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest. She started her TV professional career in 1992, when she was a regular performer in the HBO comedy program Def Comedy Jam. The host was on TV at the time of her debut on Oh Drama! The present guest co-host for Talk Talk since 2011. She has played in fictional show including Bulworth Nikki, Beauty Shop and others.
